Terms of Service

1. Introduction
Welcome to RouteFi Drive ("the Platform"), a vehicle finance origination and management platform operated by Dignified Labs ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Platform, available at routefidrive.com and all associated subdomains.
By creating an account or using RouteFi Drive, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
RouteFi Drive connects vehicle buyers ("Customers") with registered car dealerships ("Dealers") to facilitate hire-purchase vehicle financing. The Platform provides tools for loan application, document management, payment processing, and ongoing loan management.
2. Definitions
"Account" means your registered user account on the Platform, authenticated via our identity provider.
"Application" means a vehicle finance application submitted through the Platform, assigned a unique reference in the format DF-XXXX-XXXX.
"Dealer Instance" means a Dealer's branded subdomain on the Platform (e.g., [dealername].routefidrive.com).
"Loan" or "Agreement" means an approved hire-purchase finance agreement between a Customer and a Dealer, assigned a unique reference in the format DF-AGR-XXXXXX.
"Payment" means any monetary transaction processed through the Platform via our payment provider, Paystack.
"Platform" means the RouteFi Drive web application, including the marketing site (routefidrive.com), customer portal (my.routefidrive.com), and all Dealer Instances.
3. Eligibility
To use RouteFi Drive as a Customer, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a resident of Nigeria or another supported market.
- Hold a valid Bank Verification Number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN).
- Provide accurate and truthful information during the application process.
To use RouteFi Drive as a Dealer, you must:
- Be a registered business entity in your operating jurisdiction.
- Enter into a separate Dealer Agreement with The Dignified Co.
- Maintain accurate vehicle listings and pricing information on the Platform.
4. Account Registration and Security
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Your account is authenticated through our identity provider (Auth0). You must not share your account credentials with any third party. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, you must notify us immediately at support@routefidrive.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised, are being used fraudulently, or are in violation of these Terms.
5. The Finance Application Process
5.1 Submitting an Application
The loan application process consists of five steps:
- Personal Information — You provide your name, contact details, date of birth, residential address, and identity verification (BVN and NIN).
- Vehicle Selection — You select a vehicle from the Dealer's available inventory. The loan calculator displays your estimated monthly payment, including interest, platform fees, and any dealer-specific charges.
- Document Upload — You upload supporting documents including a passport photograph, national ID, proof of address, proof of employment, and bank statements.
- Employment Information — You provide details about your current employment status, employer, income, and length of service.
- Review and Submit — You review all entered information and submit your application.
Applications may be saved as drafts and resumed at any time before submission.
5.2 Application Review
Once submitted, your application is reviewed by the Dealer. The Dealer may request additional documentation or clarification. You will receive email notifications at each stage of the review process.
5.3 Approval and Loan Creation
If your application is approved, a Loan Agreement is created on the Platform. The agreement sets out the vehicle details, loan amount, interest rate, loan term, monthly payment amount, and total cost of finance. You will receive an email notification confirming approval and the details of your agreement.
5.4 Rejection
If your application is not approved, you will be notified by email with the reason for the decision. A rejected application does not prevent you from submitting a new application in the future.
6. Loan Terms and Repayment
6.1 Monthly Payments
Your monthly payment amount is calculated at the time of loan approval and is fixed for the duration of the agreement. It comprises the principal repayment, interest charges, and any applicable platform or dealer fees.
Payments are due on the date specified in your agreement. You will receive email reminders before each payment is due.
6.2 Payment Methods
Payments are processed securely through Paystack. The following payment methods are supported:
- Card Payment — Pay using a debit or credit card.
- Bank Transfer — Transfer directly from your bank account.
- USSD — Pay using USSD on any mobile phone.
All payment amounts are denominated in Nigerian Naira (₦).
6.3 Late or Missed Payments
You are responsible for ensuring that payments are made on time. Late or missed payments may result in additional charges as specified in your Loan Agreement. Persistent failure to make payments may result in the Dealer taking action in accordance with the terms of your hire-purchase agreement, which may include repossession of the vehicle.
6.4 Early Settlement
You may request to settle your loan early at any time. An early settlement quote is calculated as the outstanding balance plus a settlement fee of 1.5% of the remaining balance. Settlement quotes are valid for 14 days. To request a quote, visit the Early Settlement section of your loan dashboard.
7. Identity Verification
As part of the application process, we verify your identity using your Bank Verification Number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN). This verification is carried out through our third-party verification provider.
Your BVN and NIN are encrypted at rest and are used solely for the purpose of identity verification. We do not use this information for any purpose other than confirming your identity in connection with your finance application.
8. Document Upload and Storage
Documents uploaded to the Platform (including passport photographs, national ID, proof of address, proof of employment, and bank statements) are stored securely using our cloud storage provider. Documents are accessible only to you, the relevant Dealer, and Platform administrators.
You warrant that all documents you upload are genuine, unaltered, and belong to you. Uploading fraudulent or misleading documents is a serious violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination and referral to the relevant authorities.
Accepted file formats are JPEG, PNG, and PDF. Maximum file sizes vary by document type and are displayed during the upload process.
9. Messaging and Communication
The Platform provides in-app messaging between Customers and Dealers. Messages may be sent on application and loan detail pages, and through the standalone Messages section. File attachments may be included in messages.
Email notifications are sent for key events including application status changes, payment confirmations, upcoming payment reminders, and new messages. You may not opt out of transactional email notifications related to your active agreements.
10. Dealer Responsibilities
Dealers who use the Platform agree to:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle listings, including pricing in Nigerian Naira.
- Review and respond to Customer applications within a reasonable timeframe.
- Communicate transparently with Customers regarding the status of their applications.
- Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations relating to hire-purchase agreements and consumer finance.
- Not charge Customers any fees outside of those disclosed on the Platform.
11. Platform Fees
RouteFi Drive may charge a platform fee on approved loans. This fee is disclosed to the Customer during the application process and is included in the monthly payment calculation shown by the loan calculator. The Dignified Co does not charge hidden fees.
Dealers may also apply custom charges, which are separately itemised and disclosed to the Customer before submission of an application.
12. Intellectual Property
All content, design, logos, trademarks, and software associated with RouteFi Drive are the property of The Dignified Co or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
Dealers are granted a limited licence to display their own branding (logo and colour scheme) within their Dealer Instance, subject to the terms of their Dealer Agreement.
13. Limitation of Liability
RouteFi Drive is a technology platform that facilitates connections between Customers and Dealers. The Dignified Co is not a lender, finance provider, or credit broker. We do not make lending decisions, set interest rates, or guarantee loan approval.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any decisions made by Dealers regarding loan applications.
- We are not liable for the condition, quality, or fitness of any vehicle listed on the Platform.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from your inability to make payments or from any action taken by a Dealer in respect of a defaulted agreement.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total platform fees you have paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
14. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
The loan calculator provides estimates based on the information entered and the applicable interest rate and fees. Actual payment amounts may differ from estimates and are confirmed only upon loan approval.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if:
- You breach these Terms.
- You provide false or misleading information.
- We are required to do so by law.
- Your account has been inactive for a period exceeding 12 months.
Termination of your account does not affect any existing Loan Agreements, which will continue to be governed by their terms until settled or otherwise concluded.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on the Platform and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
