Applications
You need to be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident, aged 21 or older, with a valid BVN, NIN, verifiable income, and a Nigerian bank account. Self-employed applicants are welcome — your dealer will review your supporting documents.
About 15 to 20 minutes end to end if you have your documents ready. The application saves automatically at every step, so you can pause and come back.
Most applications with complete documentation receive a decision within 48 hours. Simple applications — particularly those with strong salary evidence and existing banking history — can be approved same-day.
You can apply with any dealer on the RouteFi Drive network. Each dealer sets their own terms, interest rates, and fees — you’ll see everything clearly before you commit.
Documents & verification
A valid government-issued photo ID, your NIN and BVN, three months of bank statements (for income verification), proof of employment or business registration, and a recent utility bill as proof of address. All documents can be uploaded directly from your phone.
Yes — we use Dojah and Mono for instant identity verification against NIBSS records. The verification runs in the background while you continue your application.
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We only share information with your dealer and the licensed identity partners we use for KYC. Our full data practices are in our Privacy Policy.
Payments & servicing
Repayments run through Paystack, which accepts Nigerian debit cards, bank transfers, and USSD. You can pay manually from your portal or set up auto-debit for convenience.
Deposit requirements vary by dealer and vehicle — typically between 20% and 40% of the vehicle price. Your loan offer will clearly show the exact deposit required before you commit to anything.
We’ll reach out before a missed payment is logged and work with you on a catch-up plan. Persistent missed payments affect your credit record and may trigger the terms of your agreement. Your agreement document explains exactly what happens at each stage — we don’t hide the consequences.
Yes — message your dealer from the portal to request a new payment date. Once agreed, your schedule updates automatically and you’ll see the new dates on your dashboard.
Early settlement
Yes. Request an early settlement quote directly from your loan dashboard. The quote is valid for 14 days, shows your outstanding balance with a fair rebate on future interest, and includes the 1.5% settlement fee.
There is no punitive penalty. We charge a flat 1.5% settlement fee on the outstanding balance to cover processing — and in return you get a rebate on the future interest you would have paid. The net result is almost always a significant saving for you.
Vehicles & dealers
Any vehicle listed by a verified dealer on the RouteFi Drive network. This currently covers new vehicles from participating dealers — browse the Find a vehicle page to see what’s available.
Every dealer undergoes a KYB (Know Your Business) check that includes CAC registration verification, director identity checks, physical premises verification, and a compliance agreement. Dealers with poor servicing records are removed from the platform.
Account & security
Visit my.routefidrive.com and sign in with the email you used during application. You’ll receive a verification link — passwordless sign-in for your security.
Yes. All your loans — past and current, across any dealer in the network — appear in a single dashboard at my.routefidrive.com.
